Guinea Pigs

Bookmarking that today I heard my first in-real-life friend who and had absolutely BIZARRE problems with her cycle after working around people who have chosen to take the emergency-approved treatment.

I want to believe those are just rumors, I really do, but wow. Kinda wild when it’s the person across the picnic table from you talking about their experience. Not going detail, of course, because it’s not my story to tell.

My part of this bookmarked-moment is that I had to choke back tears probably 3 times as she told me about it, and I’m so grateful that she’s okay.

So.
Lest I look back on my life and regret staying silent today —

Here’s your friendly reminder to the women who want to bear children, and *especially* to the parents of minors who would like to have grandkids later:

The long-term effects of this treatment are completely unknown, positive and negative.

They don’t know how long you’ll be protected from co\/id symptoms, post-treatment. They seem to be unable to identify ahead of time who’s going to have a bad reaction to any vaccine, ever, but with this one they don’t have any idea what those odds are, and they won’t for years.

When you hear reassuring things like “There is no evidence of any harmful, long-term side-effects,” please remember that there is also no evidence that there AREN’T harmful side-effects.
Duh.

It could be a *very* high price we pay for peace of mind if this treatment is the only publicly-acceptable way to have it.

It was when you started mentioning all those pesky facts that I knew you were anti-science (#kidding-of-course)
