Waiting… and done waiting!

by Mrs. Smith on March 14, 2015

We spend a lot of time waiting.
“Food for patience,” I once heard an elderly gentleman say. I don’t remember now the context, but it made me laugh, and his comment stuck with me.

Something about the way he said it with a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face made me picture a funky, spunky green monster named Patience… Every time you have an opportunity to contentedly wait for something, it gets fed.  Loved it.

But forgive me, I digress.
What was I talking about?
Oh, right.
Patience.

I’ve been waiting and waiting for the right moment.  I knew it would come eventually.  I knew I’d recognize it, I just didn’t know how long it would take to get there.

So when it finally came, I hadn’t seen it coming. Those are such great little surprises.

I’ve been waiting, and last night it came to me quite clearly — The happy day at last has come for me to do my own lovely little Purium 10-Day Transformations.

“But you don’t need to lose weight!”

Thanks, I know.  I’m working hard to not be underweight, actually.  I was stuck at 120 all year long in 2014, and then dropped over Christmas and 2015 so far has seen my scale stuck at 115.  Sigh.  Not the direction I wanted!

I think it’s one of the greatest illnesses in our society that so many beautiful women people don’t see God’s handiwork in their faces simply because they don’t match the shape of the photoshopped images on magazine covers. People are people.  You are who you are.  Big-boned, slender, husky, wirey, round, flat, tall, short… I love the endless variety!  We do NOT all need to look like Barbie!  Ugh.  That is SO not the point.

But we do need to take care of ourselves.  You cannot feed your body garbage and overwork it and expect to be healthy forever. Treat yourself with love and respect.  Be patient and kind… to yourself!  Your body is a gift from God.

And mine is ready for a vacation from processed food.  YIPEE!!!

Besides.  Going back to the Purium cleanse.  It’s not really (exclusively) about weight loss, friends.  That’s technically just one of the more noticable (and marketable) side-effects.  I mean, let’s face it,

For a lot of Americans, if you say, “This will help you be so healthy!” they’ll be like…

Mm, no thanks. Not interested.

Until they have some compelling health problem.  Then they might change their mind. Maybe. I hope.

But if you say, “Would you like to lose weight?” — BOOM.  It seems there is no end to people raising their hands for that one.

So, yeah.  This is one of (if not) THE best ways to reduce your weight rapidly.
I am still rather in awe that this program actually reduces fat, not muscle.  That aspect of it is frankly amazing, that’s all there is to it.

But there are a great deal many other wonderful health benefits associated with that little 10-day Cleanse.  I’ve watched person after person get healthier and glowing-er, and I’ve been just waiting until the right time.

YES!

My turn!

Wahoo!

I’m super excited to see how it goes.  I even took “before” pictures, aren’t you proud of me?

No, you don’t get to see them.  Sheesh. Not posting them yet, so you can go feed Patience.

Lest you worry about me wasting away, I’m taking liberties and modifying the Transformation a LOT.  Kind of melding the Cleanse + the Lifestyle + the Athlete’s transformations all into one lovely little package just for me, and I’m hoping the number on the scale is bigger when I end than when I started.

So, yeah,

Today was my Day 1.

I almost bored you with the lovely list of what I did today… But aren’t you glad?  I deleted it.
Suffice it to say,
I loved it. I’m stuffed. I feel good.

Looking forward to tomorrow.  And the day after that.  And the day after that…
