Day 3.

by Mrs. Smith on May 26, 2020

Hi Blog,

Whassup?

Don’t know if anyone else noticed, but this has been the l.o.n.g.e.s.t. day ever. This morning I had seriously done like 10 big things, looked at the clock expecting it to be at least 10:30… And it wasn’t even 9am yet. So then I had that Tangled song in my head for hours.

“…it’s like 7:15, and so I’ll read a book,
or maybe two or three…”

I know this is a luxury, but there was SO MUCH TIME. I didn’t know what to do with myself. Have my kids been this bored the last 2 months? Oh, man. I’m feeling for them. This little stay-off-Facebook experiment might compel me out of sluggish and into fun. Or structure. Or something. But for sure, today can’t repeat itself. I’ll go stark raving mad in short order.

It wasn’t *all* bad, though, of course. I’m loving the dance tutorials and… and what? Surely there was something else fun about today. Our daily episode of Smith-Family-Watches-The-Last-Airbender-Together was fabulous, as usual.

Is this really all I have to write about today?
REALLY????

Surely not.

Oh, here you go. This hasn’t happened in 6 years. Thrilling.

Shout out to my sister, who puts up with me messaging her alllll dayyyy lonnnnnng, and who sends me gifs in reply.

I love her.

Oh! And! My bestie from our old town brought us cupcakes to celebrate the end of the school year. Because she’s amazing like that.
So grateful, am I.

My new goal in life is to be so wrapped up in it that 5 years from now, I look back and can’t imagine why on earth I ever let myself spend a zillion hours on social media every week.

Yep. That’s the plan, Stan. And you poor thing! You’re likely going to hear every screaming, squealing, squirming, pitiful step of the way. Good luck with that.
