So, this happened a couple weeks ago.
8yo: Dad! I’ve never seen you this fat before!
Dad, a little confused: Oh? What do you mean?
8yo: I’ve never seen you this fat! Like, you’ve always been fatter than this!
Around the same time (maybe even the same day), the 5yo found Mr Smith doing situps after a bike ride.
“Daddy!!!!!” she exclaimed, quite alarmed, “WHERE’S YOUR TUMMY?!!!”
I’m still chuckling about that one.
So, I guess you could say the kids have noticed that Mr Ironman has changed a bit lately.
I think he’s pretty happy about it.
He’s really come a long way from the couch potato he used to be, but he’s still the same quirky, adorable guy he’s always been. For example, he left his Ironman wristband on for a full month. No joke. How cute is that?
Cutting it off was a momentous occassion, even if the lighting was lame.
It’s a little weird to think that our younger kids might have a hard time remembering the slower, squishier version of Dad.
