But I don’t know. Probably not much better than this.
Remind me of that when I wake up ornery, k? Creativity and I were quite the pair this morning, until I pulled her onto my lap and tickled her, chanting,
“Crank Number One! Crank Number Two!
Good morning Cranky! How are you?”
Then we both felt better.
But I digress.
Saturday Mr. Smith & I had a little adventure.
We left all 5 in front of a movie with one of the many sweet 12 yo’s in the neighborhood, and took off for a mini-date. We trusted most of them would be little statues while the movie was on, and that if things got too crazy she’d call her awesome mother who lives just a stone’s throw away. (Which she did, just before we came home.)
We went to the beach!
Without kids in tow, we could…
relax
smooch
and enjoy the waves.
On the Awesome-Free-Dates Scale, this ranked a 10. We even paid our babysitter in cookies, adding to the freeness and awesomeness. I love 12 yo’s.
Like I said, it might get better than this… but not much…
