Boo Hoo,
Haha,
Hi-YA,
Ah-Choo!

Okay, so maybe that was too brief an update. I’ll elaborate a bit.

Day 1 of the facebook detox was kind of sad. You know you’re an addict when…
Actually, I’m not going to finish that thought. It’s too sad and rediculous how that first day went.
Day two, however, inspires the “haha” comment because after Day1 it was easy. And now I laugh at myself. What a dumb thing to get sucked into! What a lack of reality! What a sad thing to be tethered to all day. What… nevermind. You get the idea.

Hi-YA! Doodle’s first day of TaeKwonDo! AMAZING! ! ! It was beyond words to watch him one on one with Master Kim, learning to punch and kick… Again, I shall not elaborate much. I’m saving it for a later post with pictures.

Ah-Choo means I’m still sick. And so are the two youngest boys here. GRRRR. Hate that. But it makes me appreciate good health all the more, and hail the coming of spring with even greater enthusiasm.

That’s all folks. Hope you had a nice week, have a great weekend, etc, etc. Consider this a “bookmark” post. It’s just holding my place until I have more time and brain power with which to blog.

I know what you mean about facebook. I was so hesitant to join it to begin with. Then as I got into it it seemed like a lot of time could get snatched away, and for what? Not too different than getting sucked into some TV series. Not that it isn’t a good thing in moderation. Such a good tool to keep connected with family and friends. I’ve backed off of it a lot myself recently without really thinking about why. I like your goal a lot.

I love keeping track of all my friends – don’t get me wrong – but it’s so true, as one dear friend loves to say: “Moderation… moderation…”

That's a very good question.
I am happy to hear from you, thrilled to hear from you!, but I am also content to have you drop by, read a little, laugh a little, and move on quietly to whatever else you have to do. This is a guilt-free blog. ;)

Just a Reminder…

The Church is not a place where perfect people gather to say perfect things, or have perfect thoughts, or have perfect feelings. The Church is a place where imperfect people gather to provide encouragement, support, and service to each other as we press on in our journey to return to our Heavenly Father. ~Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin, (May 2005 Ensign)

Why I Try

God expects you to have enough faith and determination and enough trust in Him to keep moving, keep living, keep rejoicing. In fact, He expects you not simply to face the future (that sounds pretty grim and stoic); He expects you to embrace and shape the future - to love it and rejoice in it and delight in your opportunities. God is anxiously waiting for the chance to answer your prayers, and fulfill your dreams, just as He always has. But He can't if you don't pray, and He can't if you don't dream. In short, He can't if you don't believe.

~Jeffrey R. Holland, "This, the Greatest of All Dispensations"

"It is not for you to be led by the women of the world; it is for you to lead the...women of the world, in everything that is praise-worthy, everything that is God-like, everything that is uplifting and... purifying to the children of men." Joseph F. Smith, in this talk by Elder Ballard
