Well, folks, here it is!

Short, short, short.  It hasn’t been this short since I was a bald 2 year old.  Trisha cut enough off to donate to locks of love, which I was excited about.  John hardly recognized me, and the kids were surprised when they got up this morning.  My favorite was Doodle’s first reaction.

“Mommy!  You look pretty!”
I tell you what, I could make a lot of money cloning that kid.

This morning it looks a bit more like a mushroom.  Hm.  I’ll have to play with it some more.  Maybe blow-drying isn’t such a great idea if I don’t have time to get the straightener out.  Really, I don’t have a clue, but it’s fun nonetheless!

I know I already commented on Facebook, but . . . I love it. So darling. I am so jealous–I really want to cut my hair. However, I’m growing mine out for . . . Locks of Love.

Hello? I just totally want to be you. (I even have FOUR!)

Wait, wait. Let me think, Wendy. Yep! You had FOUR first. And you went short-haired first. I bet you’ll even get published first. ;) Heck, I’m pretty sure you were even born first!
So… What should we call our mutual-admiration society?

So super cute! Wait until you see mine!!!

Way cute! Way different, too! :) Your pretty face shape can pull off any cut. And that’s neat that you donated it. I’ve never been patient enough to let it grow 10 whole inches!

I’m back – I had to see it again. I’ve posted mine. I sure do wish we lived close. We would take our new looks and go eat at some “expensive” place and have fun with it. Wouldn’t that be fun?!?

LOVE your hair. It’s so fuN! So cute! I’m going to Olive Garden in my mind. What are you having?
No, wait. I changed my mind. New hair means new restaraunt. Where haven’t we been yet?
    Hm…
    Sky room @ BYU?
No, not quite. New York somewhere. Something “casual” that costs $$$$$. And while we’re at it, let’s get new $$$$ outfits & shoes for the occassion. Yes, shoes too. Suhweeeeeet.

There’s something just fabulous about a new haircut that you like that brightens the day. Yay!! You look lovely as ever – which means gorgeous!

Really cute! It’s so fun having a new style! I just got one too, about a week ago, and it’s so much lighter and just fun to have a change!

That's a very good question.
I am happy to hear from you, thrilled to hear from you!, but I am also content to have you drop by, read a little, laugh a little, and move on quietly to whatever else you have to do. This is a guilt-free blog. ;)

Just a Reminder…

The Church is not a place where perfect people gather to say perfect things, or have perfect thoughts, or have perfect feelings. The Church is a place where imperfect people gather to provide encouragement, support, and service to each other as we press on in our journey to return to our Heavenly Father. ~Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin, (May 2005 Ensign)

Why I Try

God expects you to have enough faith and determination and enough trust in Him to keep moving, keep living, keep rejoicing. In fact, He expects you not simply to face the future (that sounds pretty grim and stoic); He expects you to embrace and shape the future - to love it and rejoice in it and delight in your opportunities. God is anxiously waiting for the chance to answer your prayers, and fulfill your dreams, just as He always has. But He can't if you don't pray, and He can't if you don't dream. In short, He can't if you don't believe.

~Jeffrey R. Holland, "This, the Greatest of All Dispensations"

"It is not for you to be led by the women of the world; it is for you to lead the...women of the world, in everything that is praise-worthy, everything that is God-like, everything that is uplifting and... purifying to the children of men." Joseph F. Smith, in this talk by Elder Ballard
